pfr-lion-dances-chinese-new-yearThe year of the goat is upon us come Thursday. The town will be celebrating the occasion with a few activities placed around the local area. The first of which is the ‘Giving Thanks’ project which invites people to write a few words down about what your grateful for, place it in an envelope and some of the entries will be publicly displayed around the town.

If you’re a bit more of a foodie then you’ll enjoy the Taste of Asia Market Stalls which will be partnered up with a pop-up cinema screening of family fun film Kung Fu Panda come this Saturday night. Book yourself in and secure your position here.

The third and most accidental way you’ll most likely encounter Chinese New Year on the strip is via the Lion Dance performances that will begin as of this Friday afternoon. Here is a full timetable of when and where you can catch the scheduled performances.
